According to the investigation, the motor home was stopped in the right lane due to traffic being backed up from a construction zone. The semi was traveling west and collided with the left rear of the motor home. The truck and trailer -- hauling electronic equipment -- caught on fire and burned as a result of the collision.

Truck driver Brian McKernan, 44, of Pearra, Ariz., received minor injuries, but was not transported to a hospital.

The motor home driver is Craig Christman, 65 of Phoenix. He received minor injuries and was transported Kaseman Hospital for evaluation.

The crash affected traffic for about an hour.
